Smart ForTwo getting start-stop technology, hybrid also in the works
When the Smart ForTwo hits showrooms later this year, it will carry its own version of the start-stop fuel-saving technology that is found in BMW cars. The start-stop Function automatically switches the engine off when the vehicle is stationary and restarts when the driver hits the accelerator.
